Good vs. Pure

There is a common proverb that states, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”

How many times have we created situations that caused pain or harm to others with our good intentions? This is due to the fact that good intentions often embody our own agendas and self centered motivations. The ego is tricky and will easily attach it’s own motivation into our good intentions.

Pure intention embodies wisdom that allows us to escape our ego. When we release our own agenda we can come to a place of unconditional love and pure intention. We no longer are attached to what we think we need or want and we can more easily give of ourselves and serve others in a more pure way.

We must develop a deep sense of knowing (wisdom), compassion and humilty to be able to have and act on pure intentions.
